Most video creation tools ask you to already know what you’re doing. You need footage, or a script, or at minimum a clear idea of what the finished product looks like. InVideo starts from the opposite direction: give it a prompt, and it handles everything from the script to the voiceover to the music.

That’s the pitch. What’s actually behind it is worth understanding before you decide whether it fits what you’re building.

Two products under one roof

InVideo ships as two distinct tools. The first is invideo AI, the prompt-driven generation platform. The second is invideo Studio, a browser-based editor for people who want hands-on control over timeline, assets, and composition. Most small businesses and first-time users will spend their time in the AI product. Studio is there when you want to refine what the AI produces or build something from scratch with your own media.

Both live in the browser. No downloads, no local installs. InVideo also has iOS and Android apps for creating and editing on the go.

The v4 agent: long-form from a single prompt

The headline feature right now is the invideo v4 agent. According to the official pricing page, it can create up to 30 minutes of video from a single prompt. That’s not a short clip or a teaser - it’s a full-length piece of content from one input.

In practice this matters most for things like YouTube explainers, training walkthroughs, product overviews, or any content type where you’d normally be staring down a blank timeline for an hour before you’ve done anything useful. The agent handles script generation, scene composition, stock selection, voiceover, subtitles, and background music as part of the same workflow. You iterate from there rather than building from zero.

Agent One - the next generation of this agent - is now live on the platform as well, surfaced prominently on the InVideo homepage as of our testing.

What AI models are actually available

This is where InVideo separates itself from simpler video tools. All paid plans include access to over 200 image, video, audio, and music models. The current lineup on the pricing page explicitly includes Google Veo 3.1, Sora 2 pro, and Kling 3.0 - three of the most capable generative video models available anywhere right now.

On the image side the platform lists Nano Banana Pro, Ideogram, Seedream, Flux Kontext, Qwen, Imagen AI, and Reve AI among others. For audio and music generation, ElevenLabs and Minimax are in the mix.

The practical implication for a small business is that you are not locked into whatever model InVideo happened to license two years ago. You get access to the current generation of models at their original API pricing, through one interface, without needing separate accounts with each provider. That’s a real time and complexity saving if you’re regularly producing video content.

Avatars and voice cloning

InVideo supports AI avatars and voice clones as part of its paid tiers. The number available scales with your plan: 4 on Plus, 16 on Max, 40 on Generative, and 200 on Elite. Voice cloning is bundled in the same count.

For a small business this opens up a few practical workflows. Product explainers where a consistent on-screen presenter makes sense. Training content where you want a reliable voice without booking studio time. UGC-style ads, which InVideo lists as a dedicated tool type, where the avatar carries the performance.

The platform also offers standalone voice cloning and text-to-speech tools for situations where you need audio without the visual avatar component.

Stock media

InVideo’s stock library pulls from iStock and Storyblocks, plus additional providers. The AI video generator page references 16 million+ stock photos and videos. Each plan includes a monthly iStock credit allocation: 100 credits on Plus, 200 on Max, 1,000 on Generative, and 5,000 on Elite.

This matters because stock licensing is normally a separate cost and a separate workflow. Having it integrated into the generation process - where the AI selects and places stock footage as part of building your video - removes a meaningful friction point, especially for teams without a dedicated media library.

Pricing: what each tier gets you

InVideo uses a credit-based system. Credits are consumed by generation and AI features; they do not roll over at month end. On-demand top-ups are available if you burn through your allocation. Prices shown are the annual rates.

Plus - $17/month (billed $200/year): 75 credits per month, 4 AI avatars and voice clones, 20 GB storage, 100 iStock credits, unlimited watermark-free exports. Aimed at exploration and occasional use.

Max - $85/month (billed $1,000/year): 390 credits per month, 16 AI avatars and voice clones, 100 GB storage, 200 iStock credits. Positioned as the most popular tier.

Generative - $170/month (billed $2,000/year): 800 credits per month, 40 AI avatars and voice clones, 2 TB storage, 1,000 iStock credits. Labelled “best value” and aimed at daily use.

Elite - $900/month (billed $10,800/year): 4,250 credits per month, 200 AI avatars and voice clones, 10 TB storage, 5,000 iStock credits. Built for power creators and studios.

All paid plans - including Plus - include access to all AI models (Veo 3.1, Sora 2 pro, Kling 3.0, and the full 200+ model library), access to all AI workflows, and access to InVideo’s AI video trends features. Team and Enterprise plans are also available; you can see those on the InVideo pricing page directly.

The free tier exists, though for sustained production work the Plus plan is the realistic starting point. The main constraints on free are credit limits and the watermark on exports.

The editing layer

Generation is one side of the platform. The editing tools are the other. InVideo Studio includes a browser-based video editor, timeline trimming, video compression, a picture-in-picture composer, and format-specific tools for Instagram and YouTube. The idea is that AI generates a working cut and you finish it - rather than the AI being the last word on every decision.

That’s a sensible model for small businesses. You get the speed of AI generation without surrendering creative control over the final output. If the agent picks stock footage that doesn’t match your brand or the voiceover tone is off, you fix it in Studio rather than starting over.

Support and community

InVideo offers 24/7 live chat support and email support at [email protected]. There’s a Discord community, a YouTube channel with tutorials, and a help center. For a platform serving the volume of users it claims - 25 million customers per the AI video generator page - the support surface is reasonably well developed.

Who this fits

For a small business producing regular video content - social ads, explainers, product demos, tutorials - InVideo is worth serious consideration. The combination of prompt-driven generation, access to frontier AI models, integrated stock licensing, and a browser-based editor covers most of what a non-specialist team needs without requiring deep video production knowledge.

It is a credit-based platform, which means you need to track consumption. It is not a fixed-seat unlimited tool, and heavy daily generation at the Plus tier will exhaust your monthly allocation faster than occasional use. If you are producing at volume every day, the Generative plan is the more realistic starting point than Plus.

If you are still figuring out whether video content belongs in your marketing at all, the free tier is a reasonable place to test the workflow before committing to a plan.
